Photographs, camera reports and personal memorabilia document the war experiences of Walter Rosenblum, one of the most highly-decorated combat photographers of WWII, allowing us to acknowledge and celebrate the work of the many heroic combat photographers in WWII who chose to fight with cameras.

Essays by Manuela Fugenzi and Daniel Allentuck provide background and context regarding the circumstances under which Rosenblum and other combat photographers and cameramen worked, and shed revealing light on how the U.S. army used photography to raise the morale of those on the home front along with the fighting troops.
